45 days
Access, correction, deletion or portability. Extendable once by a further 45 days for a complex request, and we tell you why within the first 45.
Support
How to reach a person, how long we take, and answers to the questions we are asked most. If your question is not here, write to us — we would rather hear it than have you work around it.
Getting in touch
There is no phone line and no chat widget. Email reaches a person, and every message gets a reply.
How long we take
These are commitments in the Privacy Policy and the Terms, not aspirations. Most things are far quicker; these are the outer limits.
Access, correction, deletion or portability. Extendable once by a further 45 days for a complex request, and we tell you why within the first 45.
If we turn down a privacy request, you can appeal, and we explain the outcome in writing. If we turn the appeal down we give you a route to your state Attorney General.
If we suspended or closed an account and you think we got it wrong, someone uninvolved in the original decision reviews it.
Account and data deleted within 30 days of the request, and purged from our backups within 90.
Frequently asked
Thirteen. Playbook 23 is not available to anyone under 13 by any route, including through a parent, and we do not knowingly allow an under-13 account to exist.
We ask for a date of birth before we collect anything else, and we ask it neutrally — no pre-filled age, no default, nothing in the design that hints which answer gets you further. We also check that the class year on an account is consistent with the age given, and we will ask you to fix an inconsistency before you carry on.
No. There are no fees, subscriptions, purchases, in-app purchases, virtual currency, entry fees or prizes anywhere in Playbook 23, at any tier. There is no payment mechanism in the app at all.
If anything inside the app ever asks for card or payment details, it is not us. Do not give it anything and tell us at help@playbook23.com straight away.
If no parent is linked to your account: nobody but you. Not your school, not a coach, not another student, not the public, and there is no public profile or search-engine visibility.
If a parent or guardian is linked, they can see your record — and you are told the link exists and shown exactly what they can see. If you connect to a team or organization, that organization sees what your parent approved, for as long as the connection lasts.
Our own staff can reach a record only with a role-based permission, and every access is logged with who, why and when. There is no universal administrative login.
Yes, if you are 13 to 17. You register yourself and keep a full Development Record, a working Score, goals, milestones and streaks — and you can email yourself a copy of your record whenever you like.
Features that involve another person seeing you, or a photograph, or a location, stay switched off until a parent or guardian joins and agrees to them individually. The version you have on your own is a complete product, not a trial: we do not degrade it over time, put it behind a countdown, or keep prompting you.
Open the entry and Playbook 23 will show you which entries caused the change — every movement is explainable, and the same record always produces the same Score.
If an automated integrity check removed an entry and you think that was wrong, you can ask for a person to look at it. Write to help@playbook23.com with the entry and the date. We will review it and tell you the outcome.
Worth knowing: removing an entry that did not check out is a correction, not a punishment. We do not dock points, remove a milestone you properly earned, or break a streak you properly earned.
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. It is no harder to reach than signing up was, and you do not need to email anyone.
Everything is deleted within 30 days and purged from our backups within 90. If you are under 18 and a parent is linked, we tell them before we act.
The deletion page explains exactly what goes, what is kept and why.
Tell us at help@playbook23.com and we will act. Put "Safety" in the subject line.
When we learn an account belongs to someone under 13 we stop collecting immediately, close the account within 3 business days, and delete the personal information within 30 days — purged from backups within 90.
You can claim it. We confirm the request with your child, verify that you are an adult and that you are their parent or guardian, and then link the accounts.
If your child disputes the claim we pause it and ask for documentary proof of the parental relationship. We do not link on the strength of an assertion alone, and we do not treat delay as agreement.
The parents' guide covers this in full.
No to both, at every age and every tier. We show no advertising and we do not use anyone's information to target, serve or measure an ad. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we never have.
We also do not use your record, notes or photos to train artificial intelligence — not ours and not anyone else's. These are binding commitments in the Privacy Policy, not marketing copy.
No. This site sets no cookies of any kind, runs no analytics, carries no advertising tags or social pixels, and loads nothing from a third party. That is why there is no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Our web servers keep a short technical log — the request, the time and a truncated network address — for no more than 30 days, purely to keep the site online and secure. Section 2 of the Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Not at the moment. The app is offered only in the United States, and all information is stored and processed there. We do not transfer personal information internationally.
We are finishing the build and preparing for review on the App Store and Google Play. Leave your email on the home page, or write to help@playbook23.com, and we will tell you the day it is available.
Still stuck
Tell us what happened and what you expected to happen. If it is about a specific entry or Score, the date helps. If you are reporting a safety concern, put "Safety" in the subject line and we will prioritise it.
